Last Updated: October 31st., 2025

Ramrod Books respects the intellectual property rights of authors, publishers, and creators. We take copyright infringement seriously and comply fully with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. §512. This policy outlines how copyright holders may notify us of potential infringement and how we will respond to valid DMCA takedown requests.

1. Our Role

Ramrod Books operates as a digital retailer and distributor of eBooks and related content. Some material available on this website may originate from independent authors, licensors, or third-party content providers who have represented that they possess full distribution rights. We act in good faith based on those representations, but if any content is found to infringe upon your copyright, we will promptly investigate and remove or disable access to the infringing material when properly notified.

2. Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied, distributed, or displayed on Ramrod Books without proper authorization, please submit a written notice that includes all of the following information as required under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3):

  1. Your full legal name, company name (if applicable), and contact information, including email address and telephone number.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or a representative list of such works if multiple are covered by one notice.
  3. Identification of the material that you claim is infringing, including the specific URL(s) where it appears on this website, to allow us to locate it.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is sufficient for electronic submissions).

All DMCA notices should be submitted via our Customer Service Panel. Please include “DMCA Notice” in the subject line for fastest processing.

3. Counter-Notification

If you believe that content you uploaded or submitted was removed in error or as a result of a mistake, you may file a counter-notification. To be valid, a counter-notice must include:

  1. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for your judicial district and will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice or their agent.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-notices should also be submitted through our Customer Service Panel. Please include “DMCA Counter-Notice” in the subject line.

4. Repeat Infringers

Ramrod Books maintains a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or access of individuals or entities who are found to be repeat infringers or who repeatedly violate intellectual property rights.

5. Good-Faith Cooperation

We believe in protecting both creators and consumers. We respond promptly and cooperatively to valid DMCA notices, but we also reserve the right to reject notices that are incomplete, abusive, or fraudulent. We encourage rights holders to verify ownership and the source of alleged infringement before filing a claim.

6. Contact Information

For all copyright-related inquiries, DMCA notices, and counter-notices, please contact us through our secure Customer Service Panel.

Ramrod Books is committed to maintaining a fair, lawful, and transparent environment for authors, publishers, and readers. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us uphold these standards.
